I am thinking (and hoping) that the Food Franchise business continues at its record pace. Although slowing of late, people are going to eat - if its fast food, sit down, ice cream, etc. Americans appetites are not going anywhere soon, even if some of their extra money is (gas, travel, etc.)

One thing for sure, Bill Gates showed all of us that he had the guts to step out of the mold cast for him, leave college and put his heart into an idea that eventually became the most popular operating system in the world. I bet he had some really tough times while he wondered if, like many of us, "Did the Right Thing". All I can say is he is a testament to how you can get ahead in the United States with hard work, goal orientation and "StickUm". I know there are many that would criticize him but he had the vision, worked hard at it and succeeded in the face of many who threw the towel. I have seen many aspiring entrepreneurs try and fail because they did not have the backbone to hang in when the going got tough! Right on Bill, you are a great American example of what you can do when you put your heart into something! James Johnson.
